Needless Anchor-Based Closure
TroClose™ 1200 uses a unique 180-degree suture deployment that forms a half-loop knot system, significantly reducing tissue tension by 75% compared to common full-loop systems (Feasibility Study, NUIG, 2013). This reduction in tension has been shown to potentially lower post-operative pain at one week compared to suturing alone (Iranmanesh et al., 2019).
Pre-Planned Closure
Our innovative device allows for pre-planned closure, initiated at the start of every procedure with obturator peritoneum-based referencing. This eliminates the challenges of toggle motion commonly experienced with other wound closure devices, ensuring a smoother and more precise closure process.
Enhanced Safety & Efficiency
TroClose™ 1200 aligns with the 2021 SAGES recommendation that all pneumoperitoneum should be safely removed before trocar removal and port site closure.
